Anita was raised in Groveland. She was taught from a very early age the importance of education and hard work. Seeking to experience life in a large city, she left the rural community of Groveland to attend college and law school at the University of Miami. Although she loves the cultural amenities, vast array of restaurants and entertainment opportunities available in a big city, she chose to return to south Lake County for a more peaceful quality of life, and to be near her family. Anita enjoys being outdoors, and loves spending time with her husband Nate and her family at the beach, pool or gym. She is strongly committed to her community and enriching the lives of others. Anita provides service to others through active participation in the community and charitable events.

Governor Rick Scott Appoints Anita Geraci-Carver
On March 31, 2017 Governor Rick Scott announced his appointment of Anita Geraci-Carver to serve on the 5th Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission. She was one of 31 appointments to fourteen Judicial Nominating Commissions in the State of Florida. She fills a vacant seat and is appointed for a term beginning March 31, 2017, and ending July 1, 2018. Circuit Judicial Nominating Commissions are responsible for providing the Governor of Florida with a list of possible appointments to serve as a circuit or county court judge. The 5th Circuit includes Lake, Sumter, Marion, Hernando and Citrus counties.
